Ms. Kim Tolbert

Welcome to Union Elementary School! My name is Ms. Kim E. Tolbert and I am honored to have the privilege of serving as principal and learning leader for our fine, fine school. I look forward to working with all of our students, parents and community partners in an effort to ensure the 2020 - 2021 school year is a continued year of growth and achievement. Our mission is simple: we will prepare our students to be college and/or career ready by providing an education that is rigorous, applicable and meaningful for we believe our girls and boys deserve nothing less.

While I am extremely proud of the dedication shown on a daily basis by our fine, fine staff, we realize the importance of partnering with home in order to provide a strong educational bond. Parental Involvement is an extremely important factor in determining student success. Know that as parents, you are always encouraged to take an active role in your child's academic career. I welcome your support and feedback concerning your child's education. Together, we can work to ensure each and every Union Star is provided an opportunity to not only dream, but to accomplish those dreams.

Union's mission and vision have remained consistent with that of the county. Our vision is that each student will demonstrate strength of character and will be college or career ready. As our boys and girls have often heard, "character is what is done when no one else is watching". I challenge each of us to remember the importance of character, self respect as well as respect for others. Our goal is to work together so that we may celebrate our achievements together. Know that as a community, Union Elementary supports you. It is our hope that as a community, you will also support the Union family.

Once again, welcome to the 2020 - 2021 academic school year at our fine, fine school. Together, we have the opportunity to provide our girls and boys with a quality education. I look forward to working closely with each of you to ensure that occurs. Should you need to speak with me, feel free to call our office at (478) 779-2650.

Take care,
Ms. Kim Elizabeth Tolbert, Ed.S
